Vecāķi is a tranquil seaside neighborhood on the Gulf of Riga shoreline. Best-known for popular Vecāku Beach, this sandy stretch draws weekend tourists from Riga's city center. The wooded backdrop is dotted with a handful of casual bars and eateries, while the surrounding area has detached homes and vacation rentals surrounded by forest, some on the banks of a lagoon.
