Plot summary

This drama series was broadcast every Friday at 8pm from October 2 to December 25, 1970, on NET Television (now TV Asahi) for a total of 13 episodes. In the following year, it was followed by the third part of the series "Mito Komon," where both Satomi Kotaro and Miyazono Junko became regulars cast members gaining popularity among viewers. The comical journey of Satomi's character, a naive samurai with a strong spirit and sense of justice, hailing from a remote mountain village in Koshu and aspiring to be like Toyotomi Hideyoshi, is an absolute must-watch. Oyuki, the daughter of a master swordsman in the Yaegaki-style, is a skilled practitioner of the secret technique "flying sword". She embarks on a journey alongside the naive samurai Isawa no Fujiyoshi, hailing from a peasant background, and Choshi no Yosaburo, an aspiring chivalrous rogue from a fishing village.
