Cologne, a 2,000-year-old city spanning the Rhine River in western Germany, is the region’s cultural hub. A landmark of High Gothic architecture set amid reconstructed old town, the twin-spired Cologne Cathedral is also known for its gilded medieval reliquary and sweeping river views. The adjacent Museum Ludwig showcases 20th-century art, including many masterpieces by Picasso, and the Romano-Germanic Museum houses Roman antiquities.
Paris, France's capital, is a major European city and a global center for art, fashion, gastronomy and culture. Its 19th-century cityscape is crisscrossed by wide boulevards and the River Seine. Beyond such landmarks as the Eiffel Tower and the 12th-century, Gothic Notre-Dame cathedral, the city is known for its cafe culture and designer boutiques along the Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré.

Carla, mid 20's, plunges head first into an Amour Fou. When Jacob, 38, wants her to come to Paris she leaves everything behind and hitches a ride to the big city. She barely knows this man but she would give anything just to see and please him again. On the car ride she drifts away, dreams of the city of love. Unfortunately not only Paris, but also her Rendezvous turns out to be a romantic illusion. With a bittersweet warning she burns herself into Jacob's mind.
