His father Daniel Fröhlich (Martin Lindow) and he now live with Grandma Betty (Regine Vergeen) and Grandpa Oskar (Peter Franke). As Fritz explores the village, he finds a free-range piglet that is almost run over by a car. He rescues it, and a great friendship begins.
