Plot summary
Rose Bernd a maid of 22 is pregnant with the married Christoph Flamm's child, whose wife Henriette is confined to a wheelchair. Rose father wants her to marry the ailing bookbinder August Keil. Rose agrees, hoping to avoid the shame in this way. However, the nasty Arthur Streckmann has observed her with Christoph Flamm and begins to blackmail her and later even rapes her.
