Tyrol is a western Austrian state in the Alps that’s known for its ski resorts, historic sites and folk traditions. The capital city, Innsbruck, surrounded by mountains, is home to Habsburg Empire landmarks like baroque-style Hofburg Palace and Gothic Hofkirche Church. The city’s symbol is the 15th-century Goldenes Dachl, a loggia topped with gleaming copper tiles commissioned by Habsburg Emperor Maximilian I.
Schön ist die Welt (1957)
The famous opera singer Rudolf Halden hasn't a clue what to do when his manager submits a business proposal to him from a wealthy dumpling-manufacturer by the name of Block. If Halden co-stars with Block's daughter onstage, he'll earn a neat 40,000 Marks. The girl, while talented, is a complete unknown. Ego just a tad inflated, Halder brusquely rejects the offer. Unfortunately, a lawsuit goes badly for him shortly thereafter and he really needs the dough. So, he'll agree to the proposal after all with a secret plan to make life as difficult as possible for the "star" he'll be playing opposite.
