Bordeaux, hub of the famed wine-growing region, is a port city on the Garonne River in southwestern France. It’s known for its Gothic Cathédrale Saint-André, 18th- to 19th-century mansions and notable art museums such as the Musée des Beaux-Arts de Bordeaux. Public gardens line the curving river quays. The grand Place de la Bourse, centered on the Three Graces fountain, overlooks the Miroir d’Eau reflecting pool.
On a headland dotted with pine trees, Cap Ferret is a chic residential area with swimming and surfing beaches like Plage de l’Horizon, plus views onto the famed Dune of Pilat on the other side of Arcachon Bay. The Phare du Cap Ferret lighthouse offers displays on cartography. Casual bars and al fresco seafood restaurants edge tranquil roads amid fishermen’s cottages and quaint ports used for oyster farming.

Marco, Guido, Leo, Luisa, Gaelle, and Mattia have different mothers. They are not all biological children of the same father but have one true father figure of reference: Manfredi Alicante. When the latter passes away, they all find themselves together for the first time in their father's house in Bordeaux, experiencing the illusion that they can become a united family. However, by now each of them carries with them a history, an identity, and going back will not be easy.
