Plot summary

Shih captures the return of Paola Shih to Taiwan to meet with her father after twenty years of separation. Following Paola in her remaking of the relationship and re-adaptation to the Taiwanese culture, the film explores the nature of family ties, and its singularities in our modern and globalized world.
