A worldwide maestro Nozomi Naruse was boycotted by members of the orchestra during the concert and was dismissed in charge of its responsibility. And now he's stuck in a mountain hut. Occasionally he visits the liquor store but no one else comes to visit. He hasn't worked for more than a year. However, everything changes when he starts working at local middle school. By spending time with students, teachers and villagers, Naruse gradually changes.
