Biedrusko is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Suchy Las, within Poznań County, Greater Poland Voivodeship, in west-central Poland. It lies on the Warta river, approximately 15 km north of the regional capital Poznań. In 2006 the village had a population of ~2,200.
Poznań is a city on the Warta River in western Poland. It’s known for universities as well as its old town, with Renaissance-style buildings in Old Market Square. Poznań Town Hall houses the Historical Museum of Poznań, with exhibits on the city. The town hall's clock features mechanical goats that butt heads at noon. The Gothic and baroque Saints Peter and Paul Cathedral is built on an island called Ostrów Tumski.

Summer 1914. Mobilization. Filipek works as an apprentice in a winery. Expelled by the owner, he enlists in the legions that are being created. On the recruiting committee, he meets Jerzy Recki, who dropped out of university in Switzerland to fight. From now on they are inseparable.
