Szklana góra (1960)
In the provincial Silesian town of Szklana Góra (Glass Mountain), the arrival of young doctor Beata for her compulsory hospital internship arouses feelings in Anastazy - an uneducated, young worker from the local quarries. The differences in intellectual level and the pressure of small-town prejudices make him reflect on his future life and inspire higher aspirations in him. When an accident occurs in the quarries, and Anastazy is among the injured, it turns out that Beata is not indifferent to him either. However, the differences in outlook on life and the lack of decisiveness on the part of both of them ultimately result in the fact that after completing the practice, the girl surreptitiously leaves for the capital.
