Plot summary

A grouchy old western landlord takes the Widow Jones' motorcycle belonging to her deceased husband, because she cannot pay rent. He puts a 'For Sale' sign on the machine and waits to drive a good bargain. A brisk young man agrees to buy it, but wants to try it out first. He gets on with the old man on the back and they finally strand for lack of gasoline near the railroad. The young man disappears in search of gasoline, then the old fellow discovers a note left by the villain thanking him for the ride and that he is just in time to catch the train. Therefore, the old biter is badly bitten.
