Cork is the second largest city in the Republic of Ireland, third largest on the island of Ireland, the county town of County Cork and largest city in the province of Munster. At the 2022 census, it had a population of 224,004.
County Galway is on Ireland’s western seaboard. Its eastern areas feature rolling farmland plains. To the west are the raised bog, heathered hills, lakes and mountains of Connemara. Crossed by trails, Connemara National Park has prehistoric megalithic tombs. The park shelters a herd of Connemara ponies, as well as rich birdlife. The county capital, Galway City, is known for its traditional music venues.
County Wicklow is a region south of Dublin in the east of Ireland. It’s known for its namesake mountains, Irish Sea coastline, country estates and the Wicklow Way. The 129km walking trail traverses the county, passing through Wicklow Mountains National Park. Within the park are glacial lakes, rivers and Glendalough, the remains of an early-medieval monastic settlement in a forested valley.
Dublin, capital of the Republic of Ireland, is on Ireland’s east coast at the mouth of the River Liffey. Its historic buildings include Dublin Castle, dating to the 13th century, and imposing St Patrick’s Cathedral, founded in 1191. City parks include landscaped St Stephen’s Green and huge Phoenix Park, containing Dublin Zoo. The National Museum of Ireland explores Irish heritage and culture.
Venice, the capital of northern Italy’s Veneto region, is built on more than 100 small islands in a lagoon in the Adriatic Sea. It has no roads, just canals – including the Grand Canal thoroughfare – lined with Renaissance and Gothic palaces. The central square, Piazza San Marco, contains St. Mark’s Basilica, which is tiled with Byzantine mosaics, and the Campanile bell tower offering views of the city’s red roofs.
Wexford is a town in southeast Ireland, at the mouth of the River Slaney. It’s known for its medieval lanes and the opera festival held in the modern National Opera House. West Gate Heritage Tower is a restored 13th-century tollgate. It's next to the old town walls and ruined 12th-century Selskar Abbey. The Bullring market place, once a bull-baiting site, has a statue marking the 1798 Rebellion against British rule.

Vincent Macken has wriiten his magnus Opus but nobody will publish it. To prove to the publishers and his detractors that his novel is great, he decides to live out the story of his novel. He hires a filmmaker to help him document his experiences on video. When he has documented most of his novel on video, he decides maybe it should be a movie instead.
