Its boroughs, many of which were once independent cities, include neighbourhoods ranging from cobblestoned, French colonial Vieux-Montréal – with the Gothic Revival Notre-Dame Basilica at its centre – to bohemian Plateau.

Wexham is a civil parish straddling the ceremonial counties of Berkshire and Buckinghamshire in southern England. Wexham Park Hospital is a large hospital on the parish border and Burnham Beeches, a forest takes in small parts of its northern land.

Plot summary

Germany, 1944. The forests of the Ardennes. A platoon of battle weary German soldiers, forced into confusion and retreat by advancing Allied forces, take refuge in an isolated Siegfried Line bunker.
