Built by French royalty, with parts dating back to the 1100s, the palace houses Marie Antoinette’s Turkish boudoir, the Napoleon Museum and a lavish theater. Its formal gardens feature ornamental lakes and sculptures. Surrounding the town and chateau is Fontainebleau forest, home to Le Grand Parquet, an equestrian stadium.

Plot summary

On March 11, 2017, Nalle Hukkataival, the Finnish climber, left to face the black circuit of Franchard Cuisinière in Fontainebleau, without assistance, taking everything he needed for the day, with the exception of a cameraman. The circuit was never chained all at once. Nalle struggle with weather, fatigue and the short winter day as he challenges himself against the toughest un-climbed circuit in Bleau. "The Circuit" is a film by Neil Hart, creator of "Out of Sight", a series of films on the block in Fontainebleau.
