A nameless young transgender woman suffering from a crisis of faith and identity takes a hike through the English countryside, hoping to make peace with herself. The route of her pilgrimage leads her through places where the restless, spiteful dead of England's bloody past roam, and soon she must confront not only her own emotions, but also an ancient evil that lies in the trees and soil - one intent on ending her journey prematurely, and claiming her soul for itself.
