Plot summary
Arnold schemes to defraud the insurance company by disappearing under circumstances that point to his death. He hides in a shack near Lone Point while awaiting the collection of his $100,000 policy by his brother. By shrewd deductions Helen succeeds in learning his identity and frustrating his plot. She prevents his escape finally by a daring leap from the pilot of a speeding engine to his auto when a turn in the road forces the fleeing man to cross the tracks directly in front of the locomotive.
