Plot summary

This Children's Film Foundation story is about Tom, a boy with his head in the clouds who wishes he could fly. But a chance encounter with a Mr Lovejoy at an abandoned airfield helps Tom realise his dream as the amateur inventor is out to build the first man powered flying machine - the Sky-Bike! Will the two of them get it off the ground? Or will they be beaten by an unscrupulous Squadron Leader who has plans of his own?
