The police fail to find any evidence, and the girl devises a scheme to overpower the lookout before he can give the signal. Disguised as poor Italians she and a detective have an altercation in front of the den and he attacks her with a stiletto. Her cries bring the proprietor of the den to the front, and he carries the seemingly fainting girl inside.
