Plot summary

A naive country bumpkin named Ebb Holt comes upon a men's magazine and thinks it is a mail order catalog. Ebb and his brother Zeke, mail in their order for Junie. Julie's agent receives the letter and, thinking it is an offer of a modelling assignment, persuades Junie to take the job. She agrees, provided that her boyfriend Ron can accompany her. Julie and Ron arrive in Possum Hollow, Arkansas and quickly sum up the situation. However, they must remain in the small town because the weekly train has already departed and since the tow has no hotel, Junie is forced to stay with the boys' sister, Dorcie, while Ron sleeps in the barn. On the first night Junie seduces Dorcie. Not completely satisfied, Dorcie goes to the barn to make love to Ron. Ebb and Zeke then find Junie a willing sex partner. Despite the attempted intervention by a local drunken preacher, Dorcie continues to have sex with Ron, who eventually agrees to remain in Possum Hollow and marry Dorcie. Julie returns to the city, promising to visit her country friends soon.
