Munroe Island or Mundrothuruthu is an inland island group located at the confluence of Ashtamudi Lake and the Kallada River, in Kollam district, Kerala, South India. It is a group of eight small islets comprising a total area of about 13.4 km².
Thenmala is an ecotourism site in Kerala, a state in southwest India. It lies just north of the Thenmala Dam, which spans the Kallada River. The Elevated Walkway winds through a thick canopy of trees, home to many native birds. To the east, Pathimoonam Kannara Bridge is a 13-arched bridge along a mountain railway route. Farther east, the Palaruvi Falls cascade into a deep pool.

Gouri, an orphan who marries truck driver Khalid and seems to have meaning in her life. However, she is forced to kill the owner of the orphanage she works in after realising that he was trying to rape one of the inmates. The story takes off from there with Gouri and Khalid lives changing overnight.
