Thailand is a Southeast Asian country. It's known for tropical beaches, opulent royal palaces, ancient ruins and ornate temples displaying figures of Buddha. In Bangkok, the capital, an ultramodern cityscape rises next to quiet canalside communities and the iconic temples of Wat Arun, Wat Pho and the Emerald Buddha Temple (Wat Phra Kaew). Nearby beach resorts include bustling Pattaya and fashionable Hua Hin.

Plot summary

Torn Cloth is the story of a young group of orphan boys from the poorest regions of Thailand who seek refuge at a camp where they are trained to become professional Muay Thai fighters. Muay Thai fighting is extremely dangerous as fighters are allowed to kick, punch, knee and elbow. The camp is run by a retired soldier and professional fighter, Jawee, who raises the kids as his own. Jawee takes the children around the country to fight in Buddhist temple fairs. In these fights, the older boxers of the camp battle against the Thai's oldest rival, the Burmese.
