Pragelato is a comune in the Metropolitan City of Turin in the Italian region Piedmont, located about 60 kilometres west of Turin, in the upper Val Chisone. The name Pragelato, meaning "icy meadow", has been derived from the harsh climate and the fact that the ground is covered with ice for long periods.

Sestriere is a resort in Italy’s western Alps, near the French border. It’s part of the Vialattea ski area, with dozens of slopes hosting major competitions. The challenging Kandahar Banchetta Giovanni Nasi is an Olympic-level piste running from Mount Motta to Mount Banchetta. Nearby, the forested Val Troncea Natural Park is home to Alpine flora, including edelweiss, plus golden eagles and the goat-like chamois.

Turin is the capital city of Piedmont in northern Italy, known for its refined architecture and cuisine. The Alps rise to the northwest of the city. Stately baroque buildings and old cafes line Turin's boulevards and grand squares such as Piazza Castello and Piazza San Carlo. Nearby is the soaring spire of the Mole Antonelliana, a 19th-century tower housing the interactive National Cinema Museum.
