During the Second Spanish Republic (1931-1936) a village in the Basque Country was shocked by some supposed apparitions of the Virgin Mary. Dressed in black, crying and with a sword in her hands, the Virgin predicts a horrible war. At least, that's what a group of young people who claim to have seen her announces. When the news reaches the ears of the people, the valleys of the place are filled with believers, curious and skeptics. Everyone wants to see these visionaries.
