Plot summary

In the early 1990s, Argentine opened its borders to a new stream of immigrants from the former USSR. Most of them knew nothing of the language and culture of the new country which, in turn, did not understand them and did not even know they had arrived. Vladimir, a young Russian man, tries to survive in Buenos Aires, where he feels like a stranger. He has to confront the lack of work, the corruption of Government officials and unfinished projects. He falls in love with a prostitute and spends his nights having sex and drinking vodka with his Russian friend. He naively believes Buenos Aires is his own paradise.
