Wremen is a village and a former municipality in the district of Cuxhaven, in Lower Saxony, Germany. Since 1 January 2015 it is part of the municipality Wurster Nordseeküste.
Hamburg, a major port city in northern Germany, is connected to the North Sea by the Elbe River. It's crossed by hundreds of canals, and also contains large areas of parkland. Journalist Viktor has lost his job at a large investigative magazine and ekes out his existence as a househusband in the suburbs cleaning and cooking, and diapering and tending his daughter Nele. Wife Alex provides the family income as a veterinarian. One day, "Mr. Neumann" moves into the neighboring house. Viktor finds out that the new guy is actually motorcycle rocker Rolf Olsen and senses the big story. In order to provide his former editor-in-chief with evidence, he goes on a nightly tour with Rolf. In doing so, he not only jeopardizes his marriage, but also draws the hostile motorcycle gang's attention to Rolf. Soon the underworld rides into the desolate suburb.
