Plot summary
Young Teacher Králícek is delighted not to be caught up in the turmoil of the First World War, when he's chosen as a home tutor for the General's son Max instead. He tries to fulfill his new position according to his principles and to the complete satisfaction of the estate. Little does he know, however, that his ward is a mischievous little bird who, among other naughty things like throwing darts, plants an explosive under the teacher's desk. In addition, the mistress general, who suffers from the absence of a man, dictates her specific demands to him.
