Kronberg im Taunus is a town in the Hochtaunuskreis district, Hesse, Germany and part of the Frankfurt Rhein-Main urban area. Before 1866, it was in the Duchy of Nassau; in that year the whole Duchy was absorbed into Prussia. Kronberg lies at the foot of the Taunus, flanked in the north and southwest by forests.
Wer Wind sät (2015)
Not far from the skyscrapers of Frankfurt lies the lovely, unblemished Taunus countryside. But there is little peace to be found there now, since an all-out war raging between an anti-wind-power group and the supporters of the wind-energy firm WindPro. The tone becomes more aggressive and reaches a climax when the leader of one of the factions is found murdered. The victim, Ludwig Hirtreiter, was an uncompromising loner who loved his pet crow more than his daughter. Inspector Bodenstein is personally drawn into the case when it becomes known that Hirtreiter left a contested meadow to the Inspector, whose father was one of Hirtreiter's only friends. Beyond the murder's political dimension, the hatred festering in the town also has to do with earlier grievances and with three women who want to free themselves from a father, a boss and an unfaithful lover.
