Plot summary

Jean is excited that her older brother Jim is coming home for a trip from college and is bring his roommate Steve with him. Jean wants to plan a party for them, and wanting to ensure that it's a party that "turns out right", she enlists the help of her friends Eileen and Nora. While every party plan has some basic elements, such as coming up with a guest list, sending invitations, organizing refreshments, and planning activities, the purpose of the party will also dictate how they should plan, in this case in order to introduce Steve to the group and make sure he has a good time. And as host, Jean has extra responsibilities which she need not shoulder all on her own, just like she asked for help with the party planning.
