Plot summary

When the filmmaker was growing up, she would ask her father, when he returned from army duty, "Ever Shot Anyone." Now she's all grown up and a mother. She notices that her son enjoys playing soldier. She decides to try to understand what it is like for Israel's men to do army service several weeks every year, so she gets permission to film a group of reservists doing their time in a desolate base in the northern, Golan Heights of Israel.
