Batam is the largest city in the province of Riau Islands, Indonesia. The city administrative area covers three main islands of Batam, Rempang, and Galang, as well as Bulang to the west and several smaller islands.
Beijing, China’s sprawling capital, has history stretching back 3 millennia. Yet it’s known as much for modern architecture as its ancient sites such as the grand Forbidden City complex, the imperial palace during the Ming and Qing dynasties. Nearby, the massive Tiananmen Square pedestrian plaza is the site of Mao Zedong’s mausoleum and the National Museum of China, displaying a vast collection of cultural relics.
Yong zhe wu ju (1994)
This drama serial focuses on the traditional Chinese self-defence martial art, wushu, as well as the decorative traditional lion dance prominent in Chinese culture. Partially filmed in Beijing, it stars Terence Cao, Chen Tianwen and Zhang Wenxiang as buddies-turned-enemies who finally seek a solution in martial arts. Cynthia Koh is Terence Cao's rich girl love interest, while Fann Wong is another rich girl masquerading incognito in the clan association that Terence Cao works in. Her identity is only discovered in Beijing where the both of them meet.
