Astoria is a neighborhood in the western portion of the New York City borough of Queens. Astoria is bounded by the East River and is adjacent to four other Queens neighborhoods: Long Island City to the southwest, Sunnyside to the southeast, and Woodside and East Elmhurst to the east.
The eclectic Lower East Side is where gritty alleys and tenement-style buildings mix with upscale apartments and chic boutiques. Nighttime draws hip, young crowds to the area's trendy bars, music venues and restaurants. The neighborhood's Jewish heritage lives on through Orchard Street's Lower East Side Tenement Museum and old-world fabric stores, as well as traditional delis such as Katz's and Russ & Daughters.
New York City comprises 5 boroughs sitting where the Hudson River meets the Atlantic Ocean. At its core is Manhattan, a densely populated borough that’s among the world’s major commercial, financial and cultural centers. Its iconic sites include skyscrapers such as the Empire State Building and sprawling Central Park. Broadway theater is staged in neon-lit Times Square.
Williamsburg is a hip neighborhood in Brooklyn that draws the young and the fashionable to its chic boutiques, trendy cafes and buzzy restaurants. Street art brightens residential thoroughfares and repurposed factories, while the waterfront provides stunning views of Manhattan and seasonal venues for outdoor concerts and food markets. Dance clubs, happening bars and music halls liven up the nightlife scene.
You Tell Me (2006)
Ever think that your best friend's girlfriend isn't the most attractive of people? Ever suspect that your own girlfriend could be cheating on you? Ever wonder if the voice in your head might be lying to you? Meet Jeff, Flint and Gray. Though he never has a shortage of advice to unload on his friends, Jeff finds it hard to help himself when he discovers the infidelities of his girlfriend and his mother on the same day. To make matters worse, Jeff's best friend Flint picks that day to move in with him after recently being dumped. After vowing never to date again, Flint meets Sophie, a girl he can actually get serious about, and who is somehow impressed with his career as a children's birthday party clown. But Jeff knows something about Sophie's past that could lead Flint to doubt his own feelings. All the while, Gray is desperately trying to find his place in life, becoming fearful of his girlfriend's impending success in the art world, and taking adult education courses like 'Become a Psychic.' Gray has no idea where his life is headed. This dialogue-driven relationship comedy asks the question: What happens when we stop listening to the advice of our friends, and have no desire to listen to our own? You tell me. You Tell Me: a comedy about trusting yourself (and other relationship mistakes).
