Plot summary
At a high society party, a famous chiromancer tells Lord Savile that he is going to murder someone before his own wedding to the seductive Sibylla. The lord tries to do as much as he can, with the cooperation of a servant, and postpones the marriage, but none of his attempts at murder come to fruition. The wedding is in jeopardy.
