An unusual act of friendship brings the burnt-out artist Hans Rückert together with the pedantic early retiree Joachim Schiller. The old rivals should pull together to help their "ex" Isolde. After years of radio silence, she asks the two gentlemen to temporarily run their dance school in order to be able to recover from a broken leg. What Hans and Joachim initially do not suspect: the clever Isolde plays them off against each other and tells both what they want to hear.
